Terms & Conditions
Coronavirus Update to Terms and Conditions
We would just like to take this opportunity to comment on changes to our terms and conditions in relation to the Coronavirus.
We understand that this is a concerning time and we do hope that none of our customers are affected by the virus. However, if this does unfortunately happen and you have to cancel your order, we will be refunding any payments made to us including the usually non refundable deposit. If we have incurred any costs that are very specific to your order alone which cannot be used on any future orders we will need to deduct this cost, but items such as ingredients already purchased, decorations that can be used in the future etc will not be charged for.
All we would ask is that if you do need to cancel your order, that you give us as much notice as possible.
We would also like to reassure our customers that we abide by a strict hygiene regime in any event, including regularly washing our hands and a thorough cleaning of our kitchen area and equipment used.
If we have to close our business (temporarily or for a longer period of time) for any reason linked to the Coronavirus or if we are unable to provide your cake for you due to the ingredients not being available in the shops or via any alternative suppliers, then we will cancel your cake order and offer you a complete refund of any payments made to us for your cake, including the non-refundable deposit. We would do our utmost to give you guidance, rescheduling and as much cancellation notice as possible, as well as trying to find an alternative cake maker for your occasion if possible. We of course hope this will not be necessary, but we hold our duty of care to our customers at the highest level and would not want to put any of you at risk.
If anyone has any concerns or questions please do not hesitate to ask.
We hope none of the above will be necessary but we simply wish to address any concerns people may be having at this time.

We require a 50% deposit on placement of an order for all cakes and bakes, which is deducted from the final balance payable. Deposits are non refundable in most cases, however at the Company's discretion may allow deposits to be refunded if the order is cancelled with at least 2 weeks notice. This will depend on the work already undertaken and monies already spent. No refunds will be given for orders cancelled with less than 2 weeks notice. You may wish to change the design of your cake after you have made your booking. However, we will require at least 3 weeks notice for celebration cakes and at least 4 weeks notice for wedding cakes. If your cake is ordered and due for collection / delivery within these time frames it may not be possible to change the design depending on the complexity of the change.
Depending on the complexity of the amendment or the extra ingredients / equipment required an extra charge may be incurred.

All cakes delivered to venues are photographed from different angles to show cake quality on delivery we do not accept any responsibility for loss or damage to the cake or items with the cake such as knives, decorations and stands, once the cake has been delivered to a venue or collected, or for loss, damage or non-delivery under unavoidable or exceptional circumstances. This in no way affects your statutory rights.
Any repair work required due to damage through no fault of our own will be dependent on availability and will incur a reasonable fee.
Delivery and Collection
Cakes will be delivered and set up subject to availability; any arrangements for delivery may be subject to change, however prior notice will be given where possible. Delivery of wedding cakes is preferred by us, as well as any multiple tiered cakes.
Please make us aware of anything that may possibly make delivery difficult such as road works, no parking, location of address etc. This will help us provide a more efficient delivery for you.
Cakes are to be collected at a prearranged time and date only. The Company cannot be held responsible for any damage to cakes or bakes which are collected. The customer will be asked to sign a form which states the cake was in perfect condition at the time of collection and the condition of the cake will then become the responsibility of the customer. The Company will advise the best way for the cake to be transported, which is usually on a flat surface such as the foot well of the car or in the boot. The cake should not be transported on a passengers lap or on a seat and every care should be taken when going around corners and/or speedbumps.
Although we will always try our best to deliver your order at the agreed time, we cannot be held liable if weather, traffic or other uncontrollable conditions affect the time of delivery. We will try to notify you if we are running late.
Delivery and set up fees may be incurred – this will be confirmed to you in your quotation.
